Therapeutic Music

Front

I started using the music of Liquid Mind over ten years ago when I first became a Reiki practitioner. And since then, have never found anything better in allowing a client to fully relax and enjoy the benefits from my sessions.

Liquid Mind was created by songwriter and composer Chuck Wild.

When Wild started releasing the Liquid Mind albums in 1994, the first persons to use them were alternative health care practitioners, chiropractors, and massage therapists, followed soon by more mainstream medical practitioners who report utilizing the music in clinical situations to assist in relaxation.

Liquid Mind V: Serenity which is my own personal favorite, is a peaceful and soothing musical journey designed to help you relax deeply during meditation, massage, yoga, rest, or in times of stress. For many, it is a wonderful background for massage, meditation, healing, yoga, Pilates, Reiki, shiatsu, or reflexology.

The fifth in Liquid Mind’s elegant electronic series of slow relaxation music, takes the listener to a place of deep calm and tranquility.

This gentle album has been used by some people for things such as:

* relieving stress

*by parents to help quiet hyperactive children

*by insomniacs to assist themselves in going back to sleep in the middle of a difficult night

*by others to relieve tension after a busy day at work

So it is with great pleasure that I highly recommend the music of Liquid Mind.

If you would like to view the complete collection, and even sample it, please take a relaxing journey over to Liquid Mind.

Enjoy!

One Reiki Within All Styles

Yesterday, I received a comment from my friend Grace on the previous post entitled, “Essential Oils and Reiki Distant Healing.”

She shared her experience of a session she had had, and was curious to know if there were different “styles” that Reiki practitioner’s used.

This comment caused me to share some of my personal opinion with her, and then inspired me to share more of it on a post.

So, thank you Miss Grace!

I am a level 2 practitioner; attuned to the Usui Shiki Ryoho System of Natural Healing, and have been practicing since 1997.

I use Reiki on myself almost everyday, and have a small practice out of my home. Most of my practitice involves sharing this beautiful energy with those infected and affected with the HIV virus. This work has been a blessing.

To me, Reiki is a neutral energy. However, the beauty of Reiki, is in it’s ability to use each practitioner, in their own unique way. Once attuned, Reiki is the teacher.

This, I believe, is the result of so many wonderful styles.

Each recipient will be drawn to a particular practitioner, because of “something” that resonates between them and the practitioner.

Reiki is like ice cream. You have your choice of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or cookies and cream…however, it’s ALL ice cream.

It is One Universal Energy….with LOTS of flavors. And like all ice cream….it’s ALL good.

I do believe however, their is one COMMON ingredient to Reiki…which is infused and felt within ALL Reiki styles.

And that’s the ingredient of LOVE.

LOVE is the “magical ingredient” within Reiki.

I honor and respect ALL styles of Reiki, because each one has a “special taste of being” for each one of us.

So…Bon appetite!

And be well.

P.S. And Reiki is also…fat-free!

Essential Oils and Reiki Distant Healing

One of the ways I find very effective in which to use two of the modalities that I practice, is through the fusion of Reiki Distant Healing and Essential Oils.

Each of these modalities stands strong on it’s own, however, when married together…create a beautiful and powerful union.

Essential oils, seem to allow for a strong “connection” between the recipient and Reiki. It’s like having a solid telephone connection, that enables a clear communication to take place.

Also, Reiki will always work for the highest good, so when blended with the energy contained within essential oils – it seems to propel that energy, and then diffuses it, where it will do the most good.

To begin practicing this, I suggest using the pure essential oil of either Lavender or Frankincense. Both of these oils are “adaptogenic” – which means that they will adapt to any condition (body, mind and spirit) for the recipient. You may even wish to use the two together.

 Suggested Usage

*Place a single drop of either both or one of these essential oils into the palm of one hand – then gently rub both palms together.

*Feel free to use whatever method you enjoy, that proceeds sending Reiki distant healing.

Prayer

Affirmation

Intention

Visualization

*Then simply hold your hands up and allow the energy to flow.

*If you use symbols, use them.

(I myself, no longer use symbols)

Between the Reiki and the essential oils, you will begin to feel a very strong pulse and pull of energy – it’s amazing.

You can also use this method when sharing a session in person. I sometimes will work with my hands about 3-4 inches away from the recipient’s body. The further I move my hands…the stronger the pull.

I highly suggest checking out the book, “Aromatherapy for the Soul” – by Valerie Ann Worwood. It’s a wonderful education in essential oils, for all aspects of healing. It lists a large majority of essential oils and their properties.

So try experimenting with the wonderful arts of Reiki Distant Healing and Essential Oils.

You may just find…a marriage made in heaven!

Be well

Reiki for Animals

“Moo-Moo Reiki”

A great many people feel the healing power of animals, which express love unconditionally and often comfort us when we are fearful or not feeling well.

Without a doubt, the most enlightening and moving experiences I’ve had, was when sharing Reiki with an animal.

Animals have the natural ability to completely surrender themselves, and simply trust that they will recieve what is needed.

And this, is when Reiki shows it’s true power.

All animals can be treated with Reiki – BIG and small.

I’ve shared Reiki with cats, dogs, birds, frogs, and squirrels (even bugs!). I knew of a practitioner in Florida, who worked primarily with horses. And to watch her work, was truly amazing. She never actually touched them. She would hold her hands about 5 feet from their body, simply allowing them to draw in what was needed. And to witness the horses reaction, was a sight to behold!

Whether sharing with a person or an animal, Reiki can be applied either hands-on or hands-off. I have found with cats, being ultra-sensitive to energy, if I start with my hands off, and then slowly move them in to an actual touch – they seem to respond better.

It’s funny, an animal will always let you know when it has had enough – it will simply, get up and move away.

Just as with people, Reiki can be used for all types of physcial and emotional issues concerning an animal.

Uses

*Pre & Post-operative proceedures

*Physical or emotional trauma

*For aches and pains

*When traveling

*Through giving birth

* Through death

Throughout the lives of both my cats, up to their senior years, and even as they were passing – Reiki provided them and myself, with tremendous support, comfort, and love.

Being a “hard-core” alternative health believer, I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Reiki.

Sharing Reiki with the animal kingdom, always strengthens and reminds me of our “healing connection” with all living things.

So, thank you Reiki!

And be well….precious animals!
